The Company

Based in Hertfordshire in the UK for the past 29 years, the company has been at the forefront of the internet and printing industry. With our team of Sales advisors, IT specialists, design and print staff together we have the skills and knowledge required to meet your needs. Fast in-house servers where the Portal is hosted, large capacity bandwidth on our leased lines, with back ups in place to ensure consistency of service since we know the Portal is your shop window. We have staff who understand the complexities of the internet and can overcome any problem should the need arise.

Also in house we have an up to date Xerox 2045 Digital Press from which we can produce the personalised questionnaire pads, colour brochures and posters which combine together to make up the starter pack. We are also able to produce any additional items you may require, such as letterheads, business cards etc.

The Reasoning Behind The Property Portal

The birth of the Portal is due to the ever increasing number of people who now wish to move abroad or simply want to purchase a holiday home to make the most of their disposable income. Many people now realise that purchasing a second property abroad gives them a much higher return on their money than keeping it in a Bank or Building Society account. The average growth rate of savings kept in a Bank is between 4 and 7% a year whereas the value of property abroad has increased by 18-25% a year, making it a much more attractive investment.

We believe that High Street Estate Agencies are the best place to attract these clients. There will be a wide variety of property on offer including new and resale properties and we offer full training for your staff either in house or at our offices in Watford.

We choose our Agents abroad carefully, they have to match our strict criteria and will enter into an agreement with The Property Portal (UK) Ltd, for example in Spain, our Agents, Builders or Developers need to be a member or affiliated to a Spanish professional body, which is our first question, so you can be assured that you will be dealing only with other professional and reputable Agents.

You will receive a percentage of every sale however the rates of commission will vary depending on various factors such as which Agent is involved, whether the property is new or a resale, whether the property is on a Golf Course etc. You will be given a guide to the commission rates to explain this in more detail. You will also find variable amounts of time it takes for commission to be paid which also depends on factors such as whether the property is new or resale. Generally with resale properties the commission will be paid within one month but new builds can take slightly longer depending on the stage of development, and how long to completion.

As a guide, the minimum amount of commission available on a resale property would be £2000, on a new build from a minimum of 3% of the sale price, anywhere up to 20%.

We have found that by having a diverse range of property on offer in all price ranges from cheap inland resales to the more expensive new builds, attracts a wider range of clientele, which in turn means more sales and more commission. As the property available will change on a regular basis, clients will keep checking the Portal until they find the right property for their individual needs.
